Chilled out and super fun Urban London Wedding by Surrey wedding photographer.
Andy and Briony got married last winter at the spectacular Horniman museum, which is a stunning Victorian conservatory in Dulwich, and had their ceremony at their local pub, East Dulwich Tavern, which was a bus ride away. They chose The Horniman museum because it was just the right level of grandeur, but still had a really relaxed vibe and they fell in love with it. I love shooting weddings at The Horniman museum because the building is completely stunning and the grounds are just incredible. The venue was amazing. Even though it was a drizzly grey London day, you didn’t notice that when you came into the room. It was flooded with this gorgeous light, which really set off the subtle dark & moody tones they had chosen for flowers, suits & decor. Apart from arriving! You don’t need to do much to this stunning venue.
Started in the conservatory. After some very excitable hello’s and well wishes, we took the Bride & Groom off for some photo’s around the grounds, leaving their guests tucking into the canapés & champagne. After the group shot and confetti photographs, we all boarded the old route master they’d hired and headed over to the 2nd part of the reception. The Pub! and they had a cocktail drinks reception in the afternoon, and a crowded dance floor in the evening.
They decorated the venue with flowers and fairy lights because there was already so much atmosphere in the room. They added to the already modern 20’s vibe of the pub, so for them less was more and it looked incredible. For dinner, they had the amazing pub grub, which was loved by all the guests.
The most memorable bit of the day was the afternoon reception because it gave the day a lighthearted chilled out mood. The Speeches were also brilliant. Full of fun and emotion. Everyone was in hysterics.
Andy and Briony’s wedding was everything we love about weddings and had such a chilled vibe. Here’s their wonderful wedding!
